TRADEMARKS & PERMISSIONS

It’s important to know the general rules around trademarks & permissions for not only the SalonScale brand, but other brands such as partners, sponsors, and products that we use or mention within our content. Here are the four designations you should be familiar with:

  • Trademark™ - a symbol, word, or words legally registered or established by use as representing a company or product.
  • Service Mark℠ - a legally registered name or designation used in the manner of a trademark to distinguish an organization's services from those of its competitors.
  • Registered Mark Symbol ® - a notice of registered trademark ownership. It is used to advise the public that a trademark or service mark is registered
  • Copyright © - informs others that copyright exists in your work. It also indicates that those who use (or want to use) your intellectual property should obtain permission from you

OUR TRADEMARK

LOGO

The SalonScale logo is trademarked. All of our logo variations including ‘SalonScale’ use the ™ symbol.

PERMISSIONS

Any third parties wanting to use the SalonScale logo must request permission before use. All usage requests can be sent to Nicki@salonscale.com.

USAGE

The ™ symbol must always be included within our logo variations.

COLOR BRANDS + PARTNERSHIPS

Before requesting to use a third-party trademark, check our trademark permissions log. This shows all third parties that have already given us permission and resources for using their trademark.

PERMISSIONS

Before using any third-party trademarks, we must obtain direct permission and request usage guidelines. Permissions must be captured and recorded here.

USAGE

When using a third-party trademark be sure to follow all guidelines provided.
