What Your Day to Day Will Look Like

The UX/UI designer works closely with all teams at SalonScale to support and deliver assets across various mediums.


  • Facilitate an iterative, customer-centred design process — translating business strategy, user research insights, and data into ideas that form new product designs and features
  • Create visual design, prototyping low/high fidelity mockups, and validate design choices to most effectively visualize SalonScale’s customer experience
  • Facilitate and run research processes to understand our users’ needs, including usability testing and other validation methods to confirm we are building highly usable products
  • Sketch and prototype mockups to test viability, and design workflows and details of iterations
  • Work closely with each team (product, engineering, customer success, marketing) to regularly ship product experiences that drive customer outcomes and solve user pain points
  • Document all design requirements for developers on each project. Worth with engineering teams for seamless design handoff by ensuring design requirements and documents are understood.
  • Contribute to QA testing on all features with UX/UI elements
  • Contribute to the development of our product style guide and visual design system

What You Have (The "Paper Stuff")

  • 3-5 years of experience designing digital products for consumers or businesses
  • Experience with modern design and collaboration tools like Figma
