LOGO SUITE

SalonScale has four different logo variations that can be used throughout communication materials. Each of these variations have a purpose and are intended to represent the SalonScale brand accurately and consistently.

COMBINATION LOGO

The combination logo is just as it sounds – it combines both the abstract mark and wordmark into one logo. This is our primary logo and is the preferred choice. The combination logo is available in both a stacked or vertical orientation as well as a horizontal lockup to allow for greater flexibility in its application. Use when:

ABSTRACT MARK

The abstract mark uses organic curves to form hair-like strokes in the shape of a wing and color droplet. This mark is intended to be ambiguous in its form as to allow for more flexibility in its interpretation (i.e., hair, wings, fire, hair color, etc.) and represents the SalonScale brand values of freedom, success, transparency and empowerment. Use when:

WORDMARK

The wordmark is characterized by the thin and tall stroke of Ostrich Sans Medium. This simplistic font is clean, modern and has a touch of personality to align with the user-friendly and approachable aspects of our brand personality, as well as the technological aspect of our product.

APP ICON

The app icon uses the abstract mark enclosed in a colored box with rounded corners. This mark is representative of SalonScale software products.

RULES FOR LOGOS

CLEARANCE SPACE

It’s important to ensure there is proper breathing room around all logo variations. The clearance space should be at least half the height of it’s variation on each side. Please use the minimum designated amount of empty space around the logo as indicated by the ‘X’ to the right.

SCALING

The logos may be proportionately scaled up or down, but the logos must not be reproduced any smaller than the minimum size of 0.5” high. A good rule of thumb is to ensure the logo remains legible when scaling it down. If you cannot read the text, the logo is too small. The logo must not be stretched, skewed, rotated or cropped in any way.

COLOUR

The color versions of brand marks are preferred. Grayscale versions should only be used when the use of color versions is not permitted (e.g. printing in grayscale). Consult the brand help desk for further instruction on using grayscale logo variations. The following is an example of appropriate logo use and demonstrate acceptable contrast in relation to the background on which they are displayed.
